That guy called him a liar when he said the man reported Muslims celebrating in NJ. Turns out they weren’t, but that’s what he reported & Trump quoted & then he denied. If I were going to try to impersonate him denying it, it really couldn’t be done accurately without an arm twitch, just as mocking Trump can’t be done without the hair & orange spray tan. That man writes for arguably the most powerful newspaper in the world, he’s not some fragile individual incapable of punching back. This whole fiasco served very well to distract from the fact the reporter reported exactly what Trump said he did & then lied about it.
    .
Hiding bad behavior behind mock shocked indignation is just cowardice, but it sure is effective.
I have to ask how else would you have tried to conjure a physical image of that person for the people around you?
If it’s not right to mock him how is it right to mock anyone?
If he’s some how more emotionally fragile that Trump just because of his condition, then it seems to me you’re saying he’s inferior not equal & incapable of taking what we’ve heaped on Trump with 2 hands since the 80’s. Either all those who step into the public arena are fair game or there’s the same bounds for all or you don’t favor equality at all.

So what you’re saying is if you’re handicapped and don’t want people to make fun of you you should not have a job and never show your face in public… “Fair game”, are you kidding me? It is in poor taste for anyone to make fun of things that cannot be changed: being short, bald, big nose, cross eyed… all things you’re born with and can’t change. Orange spray tan and goofy hair cannot begin to compare to physical disabilities.
Meryl is a fucking idiot, but let’s be honest here, Trump was not in the right to mock a disabled person the way he did.

No I’m saying if you can’t take a little public attention maybe don’t become a reporter with your picture on the page every day. Don’t get a job where your job is to “go after” people & certainly don’t call someone a liar in public when they honestly quote you.
That old playground rule of don’t dish out what you can’t take.
        .
Still no one has told me a better way to physically describe that person without using an arm twitch & no one has told me why it’s fine to mock one adult’s physical attributes, but not another.

Trump was born with that hair & can’t change it, but he’s Trump so picking on him for decades is aye okay, even when the handicapped do it & he better not treat them equally when they do.
I have a serious issue with people being able to lash out from protected space.
The left has accused him of serious mental defect, but that doesn’t protect him from mockery… yet let someone who’s on the right pick on a person they claim has a mental defect.
In the end I see no other way to physically describe the man in question & to try would prove the person doing so felt the man was inferior & incapable of handling the rough & tumble he willingly entered when he called Trump a liar, right then & there to his face at an event. What I see is that this outrage completely overshadowed the fact that Trump was exactly right in quoting him, they were both wrong about who was actually celebrating, but Trump being wrong was due to his relying on that man’s integrity as a newsman & that man called him a liar for citing his work.

Mockery is as common as speech but be careful before you mock Mohammed or Jesus as that could !ead to bloodshed.
Give me the person who does not mock his fe!low man regardless of the provocation.

I agree with you. My mother is American and I live in a border city of Detroit. In 1975 she crossed that tiny river into Canada met and dad got married and had me. I am Canadian . Thank god! However, exergerationI cross weekly into the USA as I can see it from exaggeration. I have to tell you, most of the Canadians I know were in shock as I was when he was elected. I was so mad I wanted to ban the USA and stop talking to my American friends. It is hard to understand why people could for this terrible man.

You feel like thousands of people do about Trump. When he won the election I could not believe what I was hearing. I am still in shock. Trump stands for nothing good, more riots have been on the rise, hate crimes going crazy and most of all Trump has no experience on how to run this country. Talk is cheap. When he get into office everything is going to blow up in his face and even the people who voted for trump are going to turn on him. I believe that no man can bring a peaceful solution to all mankind problems but God.
